My fitness journey
In my early 20s, I made a commitment to prioritise my health which led me to embrace fitness classes and gym workouts. I also developed a passion for running through a local group in Leicestershire, inspiring me to participate in various events including marathons, and road races.
After moving to Devon I fell in love gig rowing, competing in the Scillies World Championships for four years.
Passionate about training outdoors I love to go trail running with my dog, road biking, mountain biking and outdoor swimming. I have competed in a number of events including triathalons, sportives, swim runs and sea swims.
My greatest achievement came in 2021 when I completed the Iron2steel distance triathlon a testament to what can be accomplished with hard, positivity, and determination.
Although my first passionate is the outdoors I also use strength work in the gym to support my body so that I can stay strong, healthy and flexible to support all the things I love to do outside of the studio.
Throughout the years I have had to adapt my training having had three children and one by cesarean section learning to train throughout pregnancy and recover my body postpartum.
During the past year I have faced a challenging recovery from a bike accident that disrupted my usual training routine, reinforcing my understanding of how difficult it can be to navigate challenges, keep a positive mindset and stay motivated.
